Scott Free is a Chicago-based composer, lyricist, performer and live music event producer. Scott was a producer
in the original House Music scene in Chicago, was part of the 90's Chicago queercore scene, and had a rap video
on BET. Scott has released four previous solo album, and an LGBT family album by his pretend group The Diesel Tykes.
He has had two musicals produced - 'Witches Among Us', produced by New American Folk Theatre in 2015,
and 'Zombie Bathhouse', produced by his own Campsongs Productions in 2017.
In 2010, he was inducted into the
City of Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame. He was twice named Outmusician of the Year by the OUTMusic Awards
- in 2005 and 2009. He hosts the LGBT live performance series Homolatte in Chicago,
now in its 20th year. He also runs an indie queer radio station called Alt Q Radio on Live365.
